Unit 3

My name is Shafikah. I am a student at UKM. Usually after class, I like to study in the library with my friends. I usually go there in the afternoon for two or three hours. I prefer to study alone becouse I can focus more. At home, I usually study from 10 to 12.30 a.m and I always make notes when I study. It helps me to remember and to understand.

Unit 8 (writing about cities)

Mumbai is India's largest city which is also known as Bombay, lies the west coast of India. It is cool and dry in winter and the hottest season is in spring and the wettest season in summer becouse this is the monsoon season. The city has a population of 18m people which is the largest city in India. It is also famous for it's very successful film industry which is also known as Bollywood and it's port. It is also an important commercial centre. Beside that, the city was founded in 1668 by British East India company. There are many sights to see in Mumbai, including the Mani Bhavan Museum and the famous Chowpatty beach. Finally, for more information log on to www.wikipedia.org.

Unit 7 (writing about food and drink)

The most important food in my country is Lontong. Lontong is also known as Nasi Impit.In certain places, Lontong is a dish which is the rice roll is cut up into bite sized pieces and served in a coconut vegetables stew similar to Sayur Lodeh and topped with Sambal and toasted coconut. firstly,to prepare using a blender grind softened dried shrimp, onion, garlic, ginger and belacan into a paste. After that, add chili powder and mix into the paste. Then bring to a slow boil and add all the vegetables. Finally, serve as a starter soup or as a main course with steamed rice.
