Unit 1 – Writing about people
Lou Sun Min is a Chinese. He is a student in the Faculty of Economic and Business. He lives at Kajang. He is 21 years old and single. He likes playing computer games at home. He can speak English, Malay, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Unit 3 – Writing about study habits
I am a student in National University of Malaysia. I like to study at home. I usually study in the afternoon. Sometimes I usually study at the library because I can find much information. In a week, I study more than 10 hours. At the beginning of every week I make study plan for the whole week.
Unit 4 – Summary of the Bank of China Tower
The bank of china tower was built by Ieoh Ming Pei between the years 1982 and 1990. It is located in Hong Kong. It is a very tall skyscraper with70 floors. It is made of glass and steel. The style is modern.
Unit 7 – Writing about food and drink
The most important drink in my home is Chinese Tea. It is really a part of my family culture. My parents drink this tea at any time of the day, but in most homes they usually have it after breakfast. We make the tea using Chinese Tea leaves, which they put into a teapot. Then add boiling water. After a few minutes, we pour the tea into small glasses and drink the tea.
Unit 8 – Writing about cities
Mumbai, which is also known as Bombay, lies on the west coast of India. The winters in Mumbai, which are usually cool and dry. The spring is very hot and the summers are wet because this is the monsoon season. The city has a population of 18m people, which makes it the largest city in India. Mumbai is famous for the most successful film industry, which is called Bollywood. It is also an important commercial centre and port. The city was founded in1668 by the British East India Company. The most interesting sights in Mumbai include the Mani Bhavan Museum and famous Chowpatty beach where the people of Mumbai like to walk in the evening.
Unit 9 – Summary of how to keep brain healthy
The ways to keep brain healthy is to keep body healthy. We should eat the good diet and try to get plenty of exercise and sleep and avoid smoking. Mentally active is important. We must do exercises for the brain like quizzes, puzzles and mathematical problems. This will keep the nerve cells sharp. Another thing we can do is to be socially active. We can join clubs or social groups or travelling to other countries. We also can learn new skills. Besides that, we should eat a ‘brain-healthy’ diet. We should eat nutritious food like eggs and liver. We also want to avoid fatty foods and food with high cholesterol. Finally, we must do the physical activity. It keeps a good flow of blood to be brain and encourages new cells.
